In outdoor advertising, most branding is primarily seen by drivers and pedestrians who can view billboards, street poles, and other displays from a distance. At the same time, passengers seated deep inside buses often miss them entirely. We’re changing that with ‘Front Panel Advertising’.

Front Panel advertising entails placing an advertisement sign at the front of the bus, where some buses occasionally have a television. The primary benefit of this format is that passengers can read the entire advertisement message from any seat, as the panel is visible from all seating positions.

Advantages of Front Panel Advertising

  • Captive Audience: During a bus trip, passengers are seated for a minimum of 30 minutes, often experiencing times when they aren't using their phones. During these instances, your message will be directly in front of them.

  • Repeat viewership - Considering a trip to/from most estates lasts on average 40 mins and passengers tend to use the same buses regularly, your message will have repeat viewership helping it sink in.

  • Localise your message - since some estates are served by specific bus saccos, you can reference the estate in your message to make it more relateable eg ‘Next day delivery and installation in Kahawa Sukari, Wendani and all Thika Road.’

  • Easily change Promos - the affordable production cost enables you to cdifferent promos monthly.

  • Promote website and stores - Direct people online to your website and offline to specific branches on their routes.

  • Cost-Effective: Compared to other forms of advertising, this format offers high visibility at a relatively low cost.

Process Involved in Bus Front Panel Advertising

Planning

Identify your target audience and the routes they commonly use. We've compiled this comprehensive routes guide to help you identify specific estates you might like to target.

Design and Production

A lightweight metal frame is affixed to the bus body. This frame serves as the base for the advertisement, which can be mounted as a printed banner, ABS board, or Aluco Board, depending on the design's complexity.

Approval and Installation

We have a working relationship with most bus operating saccos and handle the process of getting their approval to use their buses.

We also handle the process of obtaining the necessary approvals from the county government and ensuring compliance with all local regulations.

Monitoring and Maintenance

We regularly check the condition of the ads and replace any that are worn or damaged.

Cost

We have a monthly fee of Sh5000 per bus, which covers Sacco and county charges as well as advertisement maintenance.

Additionally, there is a one-time production fee of Sh2,000.
